Hamster Kombat Hits $5.3B Trading Volume Despite Engagement Drop

On November 14, Hamster Kombat’s trading volume hit $5.3 billion. Daily spot trading amounted to $1.3 billion, and perpetual trading reached $4 billion. Despite this, user engagement has dropped significantly. 

Monthly active users fell from 300 million in August to just 41 million by early November. These figures highlight a sharp decline in user activity, despite the large trading volume.

Trading Surge, But Engagement Fades

Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token has seen impressive trading activity, with $5.3 billion in volume. However, this growth contrasts with a steep drop in user engagement. 

Monthly active users dropped 86%, from 300 million in August to 41 million by November. Data from IntoTheBlock further shows a decline in active addresses, from over 700,000 in late September to under 20,000 by November 13.

The price of HMSTR also fell, dropping from a peak of $0.01 in late September to $0.0022 by November 4. Despite these declines, 73% of voters on CoinMarketCap remain optimistic about the token.

Can Hamster Kombat Reignite Interest?

Despite these setbacks, the team behind Hamster Kombat remains focused. With 11 million token holders, the community continues to grow, comparable to 239 full Yankee Stadiums. 

At the Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai, co-creator Sasha Plotvinov stressed the importance of emotional engagement in Web3 games. He believes users need fresh, exciting experiences to stay connected.

For Hamster Kombat to recover, emotional engagement may be the key. The platform still has a loyal fan base, and strong market activity may provide an opportunity for a comeback.
