The rebrand shifts YZi Labs’ attention to Web3, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. This marks a bold step toward embracing new technologies. The firm wants to remain at the forefront of innovation. 

Despite the new name, YZi Labs assures portfolio companies will receive the same level of support. Ongoing programs, including the MVB program for BNB Chain, won’t change. YZi Labs continues its mission to foster innovation across multiple sectors.

A Year of Achievements and Expanding Investments

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former Binance CEO, will now mentor the founders of YZi Labs' portfolio companies. His deep industry experience and leadership will offer direct guidance. The mentorship aims to drive growth and innovation across YZi Labs’ investments.

2024 was a major year for YZi Labs, backing 46 projects in areas like DeFi, AI, and blockchain. The firm supported 10 DeFi projects and seven focused on AI and Bitcoin technologies. YZi Labs also invested in emerging ecosystems like Berachain and Monad. 

The firm’s diverse portfolio spans gaming platforms, restaking protocols, and beyond. These strategic investments reflect YZi Labs’ commitment to shaping the future of tech. With CZ’s mentorship and a broad investment strategy, YZi Labs is set to make an even greater impact in the coming years.
